    Lockheed Martin's Apex Engineering Team develops and operates engineering and sustainment solutions for commercial, military and intelligence users across the globe. These mission critical efforts include development of innovative enterprise, cloud, and application-based solutions for mission management, tracking, processing, analysis and dissemination of information for space-based programs in support of national security.

    Our APEX team is looking for a motivated Systems Engineer Lead to lead an Agile Team in support of a new Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) program.

    As a member of a high-performing team you must be passionate about your trade, focused on mission system quality, and supportive of timely delivery of features and capabilities. This position involves interacting with stakeholders to define requirements, stories, and interfaces. Candidates will work with the team to develop high-level technical solutions, size and prioritize work, as well as document and verify work completion. Candidates should expect to lead the team through architecture, design, and test of all features in accordance with the Apex Agile process.

    Typically has 12 - 20 years of professional experience.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • 10 years of experience with IC (Intelligence Community) or DoD programs
    • 3 years of experience as a team lead
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
    Desired Skills:
    • Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer science, or other scientific or technical discipline.
    • 3 years of experience as a team lead for OPIR software technology programs using Agile
    • System Engineering experience for large systems with software emphasis.
    • Experience architecting, accrediting and supporting cloud based systems.
    • Demonstrated understanding of Agile development.
    • Experience with Confluence, JIRA and Gliffy.
    • Experience developing and delivering documentation.
    • Strong teamwork skills.
    • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
