Description:Experienced International Trade Compliance professional to support export / import activities at the RMS IWSS business unit. Responsible for the preparation, implementation and modification of export / import license applications, technical assistance agreements, manufacturing license agreements, and exemption / exception usage to support program execution and new business opportunities. Provide guidance and ensure compliance with terms and conditions of approved export authorizations and research/interpret complex Government regulations such as the ITAR and EAR. Proactively collaborate with various Program personnel to define licensing requirements and prepare license applications in compliance with the ITAR and EAR. Prepare proviso reconsiderations. Review and process employee international travel, foreign person visit requests, proprietary information agreements, Procurement requests, shipping requests; support development and implementation of export / import policies and procedures; perform product jurisdiction and classifications analysis to determine regulatory authority and review all export shipments for compliance with authorized scope. Participate / support compliance plans and projects; export and import tools and process improvements and LMC Digital Transformation initiatives. Conduct import/export compliance training, including limitations and provisos on export authorizations, for Program and general employee population; support the conduct of compliance self-assessments and collaborate with RMS Shared Services on investigations into potential export/import issues.
Detailed knowledge of ITAR and EAR Regulations. Knowledge of export/import processes. Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders. Must be able to enforce compliance with export/import laws and regulations. Flexible team player with ability to multi-task and work independently; demonstrated attention to detail. Must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Familiarity with government contracting practices a plus. Background in engineering or experience with product classifications and export control reform highly desired.
