Description:Responsibilities include development of assembly processes, setup and programming of automated assembly equipment, training and support of equipment operators, writing floor documentation, assisting in the design of tooling, and purchase of capital equipment. Position requires the ability to set up new processes based on engineering prototypes and transition to production ready processes. This posting is for a second shift position.
Knowledge of Manufacturing Transition to Production. Personal computer skills including standard Microsoft Office programs. Able to write concise, complete process instructions. Ability to work and communicate with production, design engineering, procurement, program management office and manufacturing personnel. Experience with Engineering development models. Familiarity with tool design concepts.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. This requires US citizenship.
Experience with Microelectronics assembly or programming/running automated equipment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles to plan, coordinate, and implement process improvement projects.
Able to work independently to instruct and train assembly personnel. Flexibility to support either 1st or 2nd shifts.
