    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at our Cypress Creek clinic! Part of the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center family, the Cedar Park Physician Associates family practice and internal medicine team is committed to providing superior quality health care for children and adults. Located on Cypress Creek Road in Cedar Park, our services include Adult Care/ Gynecology, Children and Adolescents and routine office procedures.

Located on Cypress Creek Road in Cedar Park, our services include Adult Care/ Gynecology, Children and Adolescents and routine office procedures.

    Responsibilities
    • Greet patients and visitors in a pleasant manner
    • Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
    • Assist patients as needed with health questionnaires
    • Escort patients to examination rooms
    • Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
    • Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician
    • Clean and sterilize instruments
    • Set up supplies in procedure room
    • May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
    • Cross-train to cover front desk when coverage is needed
    • May be required to float to other clinics as needed
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent
    • Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required within 90 days of hire
    • American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice, internal medicine or OB/GYN clinic setting
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
