    Job Description

    Working under the direction of the Laboratory Support Services Coordinator or Laboratory Lead Technologist is responsible for the collection, receipt, processing and delivery of inpatient/outpatient/outreach specimens for testing; communicating with nursing/clients regarding patient specimens; the referral of specimens to outside laboratories; phlebotomy procedures; and assisting in various projects. Interacts with physicians/clients/staff regarding in-house, outreach and referral lab tests. Typically reports to a lead, supervisor or manager.

    Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    Licenses/Certifications:
    • Phlebotomy training course or certification preferred
    Experience/Skills:
    • 6 months to one year laboratory related experience required
