    Job Description

    • Evaluate analytical and visualization software
    • Configure Java Application servers such as Tomcat, Netty
    • Configure servers such as apache, nginx, haproxy
    • Use distributed source code control such as Git, mercurial
    • Conduct root cause analysis on production issues with other engineers and software developers

    Qualifications :

    Qualifications (minimum requirements, clearance, exp, tools, must haves, etc.):
    • Bachelors or 4 years of addition exp.
    • (18) years in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis.
    • At least ten (10) years leading, providing technical supervision, and guiding senior-level engineering personnel; solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule.
    • Experience in many various system design and development to include: articulating the architectural vision; conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches; creating models and component and interface specifications documents and validating the architecture against requirements and assumptions.
    • Detailed experience developing documentation required to support a program's technical issues and training situations
    • Experience with Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies, networks, data storage, data modeling, data ontologies, security architectures and CASE tool selection and use.
    • In depth experience performing a variety of tasks related to knowledge/ technique dissemination to analytic workforce; demonstrated ability to convey new techniques and technologies to analytic workforce and facilitate transfer of acquired knowledge from experienced analysts to new analysts
    • Working experience with system architectures in a service-oriented environment and integrating information systems into SOA or ESB architectures
    • Experience in analytical environments/intelligence production organizations
    • Working knowledge of agile and/or spiral development models. Developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large-scale programs
    • Experience "wrapping" legacy systems or components as Web Services within an SOA framework
    • Experience developing solutions integrating and extending integrating FOSS, COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors
    • Knowledge of implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access
    • Working knowledge of developing and deploying integrated desktop applications

    Desired Requirements (nice to have but not required):
    • Strong Unix system administration skills, including configuration, troubleshooting, and automation
    • Passion for developing backend systems software that improves sustainability and operations
    • Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
    • Must have fluency in at least one scripting/coding language such as Ruby, Shell, Python, or Java
    • Experience writing software for configuration management systems (Puppet, Chef) in a production environment
    • Experience configuring and/or utilizing monitoring/logging solutions for operations such as; Nagios, Collectd, logstash, Kafka, Cassandra
    • Solid web infrastructure fundamentals: TCP/IP NDS, HTTP, caching REST, and scale out
    • Experience with security accreditation process
    • Knowledge of the Java development process and use of tools such as Maven, Junit, and Simple Logging Faade for Java (SLF4J)
    • Knowledge of the following:
    o Apache Mesos, Linux cgroups
    o Python
    o Web development
    o JavaScript/JSON
    o Java SE 5+, java EE (Servlets, JSP)
    o REST/Web architecture
    o HTTP specification (methods, headers, response codes)
    • Experience with relational database such as SQL, PostgreSQL
    • Network security experience:
    o Access and authorization - PKI, chain trusting, Central Authentication System
    o Threat model development
    o Vulnerability assessments

    Clearance Requirement:
    This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
