The Package/Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer is responsible to develop solutions for a wide-range of signal processing applications, information security, and research development. Developed solutions predominately fall under Microelectronics Package Engineering (PE), Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design, and Reverse Engineering (RE). Package/Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer are responsible from the conceptual idea to the final product.
(U) Involved in the architectural definition by collaborating in cross-functional teams, which capture the customer's requirements and specifications.
(U) Select, design, and specify digital/analog/RF circuit components, assemblies, and parameters to create solutions that meet given performance requirements by making engineering trade-offs, analyzing requirements, and investigating technical solutions.
(U) Prepare working plans, detailed drawings, and completed mechanical or electrical drawings of assemblies from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes.
(U) Create and modify engineering plans, drawings, and schematics.
(U) Validate functional, operational, and user requirements.
(U) Identify new and existing technologies to solve design, development, and operational problems.
Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Package or PCB Design Engineer in signal processing, digital and analog circuits, interface circuits, memory systems, and the principles, methods, and techniques used within the electronic/computer field. Five (5) years' experience in both Package and PCB Design Engineering. Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering; systems engineering; physics; mathematics; or computer science. In lieu of a degree, an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a total of 19 years of experience. Experience with IPC, JEDEC, and Mil-Standards as related to PCB design and electrical component qualifications.
This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
