    Job Description

    As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Jacobs, you will work with an inhouse multi-disciplinary team of engineers and architects as part of the #1 ranked buildings engineering design firm in the world. You will be on an elite team of professionals and receive as needed engineering support from Global resources. You will have the opportunity to grow professionally working on challenging projects for a wide variety of buildings and facilities.

    Key Responsibilities and Capabilities:
    • Design full electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm and signaling systems
    • Coordinate and manage work with architects, and engineers of other disciplines
    • Lead meetings and communicate with clients to establish needs and coordinate designs
    • Lead a team of electrical engineers for large scale projects
    • Develop and manage project budgets and staff projections
    • Mentor and train junior engineers
    • Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
    • Prepare load analysis for different stages of design
    • Prepare drawings detailing the system designed
    • Prepare basis of design report for the project
    • Prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms
    • Select equipment and fixtures for use in the building
    • Perform electrical construction administration

    Qualifications :
    • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or Architectural Engineering (BSAE) required
    • Professional Engineer license PE required (LEED AP preferred)
    • 15+ years working for a MEP or AE firm required
    • Experience in Revit, 3D CADD preferred
    • Knowledge of electrical software; SKM, ETAP, AGI 32 preferred
    • Experience working on airports, military bases, federal buildings, laboratories, health care facilities, and data center projects preferred
    • 4+ years of experience working on generator systems and medium voltage distribution projects preferred
