Part-time, 40 hours per pay period (two weeks), Various Shifts: 8a-4:30p, 8:30a-5p, 9a-5:30p, 1p-9:30p, every 6th weekend and holiday 8a-7:15p, every 6th Saturday 8a-12:45p
Supports the pharmacist in the dispensing of medications to the patients. Duties of this position may include, but are not limited to, the accurate charging of medications in the Pharmacy computer system, reading medication orders for dispensing, preparation and delivery of pharmacy products, including IV additives and chemo therapy medications, controlled substances and unit dose medication. Clerical work may be performed. Patients of all ages are served. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
High school graduate required. Post high school pharmacy technician training preferred. Advanced training in data input, business or pharmaceutical applications preferred.
Experience as a pharmacy technician preferred. One year general office experience with medical background preferred.
Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of MN required upon hire. Pharmacy technician certification is preferred. Transportation available for off campus activities may be required. A valid Minnesota driver's license, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage may be required.
