MaineHealth is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Coordinator
As a member of the MaineHealth Pharmacy Enterprise Team, this individual will be our internal pharmaceutical compounding and hazardous drug expert who will be responsible for the creation, implementation and management of a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure compliance with all state, federal and accreditation statutes and standards (including applicable U.S.P standards).The Clinical Pharmacist Coordinatorwill be our designated compounding supervisor. The individual will strive to improve the safety and efficiency of our compounding workflows through observation, practice modifications and through the utilization of available technologies. The Clinical Pharmacist Coordinator will be responsible for the inspection and compliance expectations of all externally outsourced suppliers and vendors.S/he will be expected to be hired with or to achieve after hire, board certification in sterile compounding by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. - Graduate of an ACCP accredited school/college of pharmacy.
- State of Maine Registered Pharmacist or eligible for Maine licensure.
- 5 years of experience in a health-system practice or significant applicable specialty experience preferred.
- 2 years of work experience providing direct patient care including but not limited to patient monitoring and drug therapy review, is preferred. Experience in the monitoring and consultation on drug therapy. Experience in the monitoring and consultation on drug therapy in patients of all age groups.
- Analytical skills necessary to identify and resolve problems relating to drug therapy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
