    Summary

    Maine Medical Center (MMC) is seeking a BC/BE Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist clinician-educator to join the Department of Psychiatry. Successful candidates will be gifted clinician-educators committed to improving the lives of youth. The position supports team-based care in our child and adolescent psychiatry clinic on the MMC main campus in Portland as well as integrated care in a pediatric clinic in South Portland.

    The Child Psychiatry Division offers evaluation and treatment for youth and families with mood, anxiety, behavior, psychotic, substance use, trauma-related, learning, and developmental disorders. Our clinical staff includes child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical social workers and psychologists. The Child Psychiatry Division is part of a larger clinical network including Spring Harbor Hospital, the Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders, and Maine Behavioral Healthcare, a region wide comprehensive mental health provider. Maine Medical Center has 637 beds and is the state's leading tertiary care hospital and only Level 1 Trauma Center. The Emergency Department at Maine Medical Center is comprises 63 beds, including the embedded 6 bed secure Acute Psychiatry Unit.

    In addition to clinical care, we provide a major teaching resource for Maine Medical Center. We train and mentor Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellows, Psychiatry and Pediatrics residents, Tufts University School of Medicine medical students, Social Work and Psychology interns, Addiction Medicine fellows, and trainees in other fields.
