This position directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Responsible for supervising, scheduling and coordinating activities of personnel performing various chemical, microscopic, serological and bacteriological tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Prepares, monitors and evaluates departmental budgets.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
Full-Time! Associate Degree in Laboratory Services, Current TN Lab Supervisor License. Six years experience in a clinical laboratory and two years of managerial experience. BLS required within 90 days of employment.
