This position may involve support of various hospitals and health care systems within the UNC Health Care System, but will be employed by Rex Hospital, Inc. (this includes, but is not limited to, for purposes of payroll, health benefits, retirement options, and applicable policies)
Provides technical support for end users of the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Ensures timely follow-up and resolution of support calls and tickets. Facilitates problem resolution through communication with IT experts responsible for systems as well as evaluating application performance and proper flow of data to attain the required outcome. Utilizes excellent communication skills to provide service excellence to all customers, clinicians and physicians.
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
If an Associate's degree: Four (4) years of experience, including two (2) years of Clinical or IT experience and two (2) years of experience using an electronic medical records (EMR) system with demonstrated proficiency.
If a High School diploma or GED: Eight (8) years of experience, including two (2) years of Clinical or IT experience and two (2) years of experience using an electronic medical records (EMR) system with demonstrated proficiency.
