    Job Duties


    FOCUS (Families OverComing Under Stress) provides resiliency training to military families. The FOCUS Site Director (SD) works out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and reports to the Senior Associate Director. The incumbent manages implementation of the FOCUS model at a designated military installation and functions as the lead service-delivery staff member and supervises at least one Resiliency Trainer and Administrative Assistant. The incumbent works closely with the local military base Point of Contact (POC) and FOCUS Headquarter to ensure that appropriate staff supervision, outreach, direct service delivery, local training, family tracking, and data collection is implemented in compliance with the FOCUS model.

    Job Qualifications



    Master's degree or doctoral degree in a mental health field with current clinical mental health license.

    This project is funded by the United States Department of Defense - Office of the Secretary of Defense. By contract, this position is limited to U.S. citizens.

    Experience with manualized family and child intervention, clinical services, treatment, and/or social skills programs

    Experience in providing direct therapeutic and/or intervention services to at-risk and/or high-risk families

    Experience, high comfort level, and/or good working knowledge of military culture and military family experience

    Strong written, verbal, facilitation and training skills

    Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills

    Willingness to learn new computer-based systems for worksite management

    Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Power Point

    Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and policy/procedure development

    Previous management and supervisory experience in context of direct services provision

    Demonstrated experience working with community-based mental health agencies

    Demonstrated experience working in a multi-site and multi-disciplinary setting

    Willingness to undertake limited travel as needed

    Familiarity with web-based assessment collection, tracking systems, collaborative workgroup and reporting tools, including Survey Gizmo, SalesForce, Access, and SharePoint is highly desirable

    Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance and access to an automobile.

    Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to follow University Policy and Procedures.
