    Job Description

    Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Associate Manager for a position in Grand Prairie, TX who will be responsible for Mechanical manufacturing quality, cost, and schedule for Dallas make hardware. Duties include:

    Chair Cause and Correction Action Board, driving continuous process improvements through the PMT process and SIA's.

    Manage the design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.

    Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

    Oversee the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.

    Work closely with Process Engineering Manager to monitor the design sequence of operations and specifics procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect production.

    Manage the adaption of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

    Coordinate with Quality Engineering Manager to incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

    Oversee the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools through preventative maintenance.

    Drive corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

    Through the Industrial Engineering group, oversee the development of manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control.

    Provide guidance to Manufacturing Engineering group regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

    Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

    Basic Qualifications:
    Manufacturing knowledge/experience in a combination of the following: Mechanical assembly, Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, Paint process, IRBAS processes, and Tooling

    Appropriate political acumen to successfully interact with Program Senior Management, Sr. Management, HR and Union Leadership.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Demonstrated skills in team building and leading.

    Clear understanding of the production processes employed by Lockheed Martin.

    History of high exceptional performance.

    Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience/understanding.

    Ability to obtain US Government issued Secret Security Clearance.
    Desired Skills:
    Proficient in SAP

    CAM trained

    Greenbelt Certification

    Black Belt Certified

    Knowledge of CBA and interaction with Union Leadership

    Experience in:

    First line supervision

    Collective Bargaining Agreement

    Programmatic/Operations cost and estimating

    Driving continuous improvement/cost reduction activities

    Support MFC Operations execution processes - PMT, ELC, CAB, and Production Risk Assessments

    Input to Capital and infrastructure plans

    Understanding and supporting MRP/SAP transactions that support manufacturing

    Production Development and Rapid Response and or the development of plans to implement processes that support future production contracts
