Contracts Negotiator position located in Shelton, CT
supporting the CH53K sub market segment. Negotiates helicopter sales and support agreements for international military customers. Responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance and efficient contract administration; establishing and maintaining excellent customer relations, both internally and externally, and developing business strategies for new business opportunities. Advises contracts leadership of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Conducts contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Reviews risks and works with the proposal team in developing mitigation strategies for proposal submittals. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations, and ensures timely execution by the parties.
Must have a BS or BA, with 10 years or greater contracts experience or equivalent. Demonstrated Strong Negotiation and Communication Skills, Ability to Work
Independently, Effective Computer and Presentation Skills, Contract Administration, and Contract Management experience. Must have an established understanding of variations of contracting options and familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures within contracts. Must have good customer skills and be at ease working with international government customers.
JD or Graduate Level Business Degree with experience in international business and contracts negotiations.
