Description:The Staff Transmissions Design Engineer will work on the New Product Design Team and be responsible for innovative gearbox sub-system and component level designs through all levels of the new product lifecycle. This role is also responsible for creating and maintaining project plans for IPT and sub-system level assemblies as well as coordinating within the team and with other organizations to ensure that tasks are complete, on-time, and within budget. They will be involved in authoring and maintaining technical drawings, documents, presentations, and risk identification and reduction activities. Close coordination with program and organizational leadership teams as well as analysts, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, and other dynamic systems and air vehicle teams.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Project Management Experience including Estimating, Scheduling, Metrics, and Reporting.
Earned Value Management Experience
Transmissions/Drive System Design & Analysis
Rotary Wing Commercial & Military Requirements & Testing
Strong communication and leadership skills
