The database engineer on TCM will be responsible for the maintenance of production, test and development databases. Although the bulk of the administration of the databases are handled by an external group, the DBE should have a solid understanding of general Oracle database administration. Daily tasks primarily focus on the support of the development team from a database design and development perspective. A strong grasp of relational database design is imperative as is the ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot complex PL/SQL modules. Solid Linux and shell scripting skills is important for the DBE to maintain and develop the automated process of the database-release schedule.
This vacancy requires a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance
• Twelve (12) years experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and
complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Oracle Database: Relational database design, some database administration, Oracle Label Security and data security concepts
• Strong SQL skills (tuning/query): PL/SQL, Linux knowledge and scripting
• Data loading/migration process
• Development skills (Java, Spring...etc.)
