Under minimal supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs all duties of a Communications Attendant while leading Communications Attendant services and staff. Educates, orients and provides technical support to staff. Performs assigned administrative duties to assure department service levels are reached or exceeded. Works with Telecommunications Manager to allocate resources, establish goals and provide feedback to staff, monitor department equipment, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and complete departmental reports. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to assess and maintain customer service relationships with physician offices and hospital departments.
Ability to demonstrate rapport building internally and to facilitate a pleasant and cooperative demeanor among the staff.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under stressful conditions.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to demonstrate excellent listening skills.
Ability to identify and resolve problems and to improve processes and accomplish goals. Demonstrates good judgment, knowing when to contact manager.
Associate's Degree or High School Education with an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Minimum of one year's experience necessary as a Communications Attendant in order to become well versed and capable of training others in operating computerized console, paging server and other hospital emergency procedures/equipment. Working Conditions
Low or no level of physical exertion required. Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature, etc. Reporting Relationships
Reports to Telecommunications Manager.
