    Job Summary/Basic Function

    To provide administrative support, help manage the IT budget, coordinate IT personnel changes, and provide general policy support to the entire IT department. Acts as an IT Liaison to internal Liberty University departments for policy and budget matters. Develops procedures and policies for office activities, such as filing, dictating, records maintenance, typing, word processing, faxing and mail distribution. May also be responsible for the maintenance of office equipment and supplies. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Maintain confidentiality at all times. At the discretion of the supervisor, paperwork (P-1s, P-8s, Continuing Education, etc) may be signed off. Responsible for all front line contact with customers both internal and external. Assist supervisor with calendar and email. Assist with purchase requisitions and office supplies. Coordinate staff absences, including conference planning, training and such. Assist supervisor with projects as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Associates degree or equivalent from a college or technical school with course work in office management or business administration, preferred. Work experience in higher education and/or management. Experience or knowledge of office practices including computer and phone skills. Exceptional writing, organizational and communication skills needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products-Excel, Access and Word. Strong people skills, self-motivated and energetic. Can work without supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications

    College Degree
    2-4 years administrative support experience in an IT organization
    Budgeting/accounting experience.
    Exceptional organizational skills

    Work Hours

    This employee will work a regular 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday work week.
