    As the Poultry Technical Services Specialist you will provide technical advice and support to customers needs during and after the sale of products. You are accountable for staying ahead of technology and business practices through workshops, research, and professional meetings. As a Poultry Technical Services Specialist, you will serve as the lead contact for customers. At this level, you will perform under minimal supervision and the role is encouraged to independently tackle complex issues while referring only the most complex problems to a higher-level staff.

    Key Accountabilities

    This is a remote home office position to be located anywhere in the US and will primary serve the Southern US.

    • Collaborates with consultants to provide on-farm technical support for current customers and prospects.

    •Provide customer solutions and technical supporting materials to a specific group of customers.

    • Performs complex research for product development to understand product properties and system operations.

    •Compiles and analyzes data for project updates and works with external suppliers to test new products and technologies and make recommendations on applications.

    • Organizes project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations. Assists with product demonstrations and serves as the subject matter guide during meetings with prospective customers.

    • Ensure application and value capture from technology updates in systems.

    • Stay ahead of animal nutrition, modeling, and research models to improve value offerings.

    • Connect with industry professionals, university professors, internal sales teams and facilities to learn and understand the industry and business needs.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications :

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in nutrition, physiology, or related field OR equivalent experience

    • 4 or more years of animal health industry experience

    • Ability to translate technical research data to poultry producer application

    • On-farm poultry knowledge and consultative expertise to create solutions to customer needs

    • Ability to work outdoors

    • Ability to travel up to 50% (will include international travel)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in animal health, physiology, or related field

    • 10 or more years of animal health industry experience

    • Experience with experimental design and statitics

    • Experience communicating value and solutions to team members and customers

    • Ability to get meaningful data from production agriculture software systems

    • Utilize a systems approach to animal production and business management

    • Public speaking experience

    • Experience in a sales-based environment
