Leidos is hiring a Sr. Java Developer
for our SSA ITSSC II program working in Baltimore, MD. As our Senior Java Developer, you will utilize you extensive experience to develop and maintain the high-performing Java applications. You also have prime accountability for major projects and will develop detailed and robust design. In addition, you will code, test, and implement proposed systems. In this role, you will develop technical solutions, and document the solution architecture and design using standard design tools.
As our Sr. Java Developer, you will demonstrate your design experience and be willing to challenge other team member's designs as well as receive and incorporate feedback. You will be responsible for creating maintainable, adaptable, scalable, defect-free code using software development best practices and coding standards (i.e. software reuse, refactoring, continuous integration, test automation, secure development, Test Driven Development, static code analysis, peer/code review). Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree plus 8 - 11 years' experience or Masters degree plus 6 - 9 years' experience
- Developed and maintained high performing Java applications
- Strong experience required with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Cloud and Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) / Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Web Development, Spring Framework (minimum 1 year experience), Maven
- OIDC, OAuth, BitBucket, Git
- Experience with Jira, version one
- Experience with the implementation of Section 508 standards for Web Applications.
- Exposure to writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents.
- Prior experience with federal or state governments IT projects.
