Provides environmental cleaning services. Responsible to maintain the facility in a sanitary, neat, attractive and safe condition at all times. Responsible to handle multiple needs and priorities as they arise while still maintaining the highest level of customer service.
Sanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner, according to manufacturer specifications. Collects infectious and non-infectious waste in all areas in appropriate containers.
Performs discharge cleaning/detail cleaning of all areas. Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors.
Stocks supplies in areas, carts, and supply room.
Performs high dusting of ceiling vents and ledges over shoulder height.
Dusts horizontal ledges and surfaces below shoulder height.
Vacuums all carpeting and carpet edge, picks up trash and delivers linen/laundry.
Cleans spots off of walls and doors and/or reports maintenance issues timely.
Maintains accurate records including discharges, linen weight, isolation weight, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets and Kronos corrections.
Maintains cart and chemical supplies in a safe, secured manner around patients and visitors.
Performs terminal cleans as necessary.
Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Required: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English.
Preferred: High school or equivalent.
Preferred: Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Special Skills: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English. Ability to prioritize work. Must have good customer service skills.
