    Assists in providing computer forensic and intrusion support to high technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments. Assists in conduct vulnerability assessments/penetration tests of information systems. Researches and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, data hiding and network security and encryption. Assists in deterring, identifying, monitoring, investigating and analyzing computer network intrusions.

    ManTech Mission, Cyber, and Intelligence Solutions Group is looking for highly motivated, qualified professionals to fill a Junior Computer Forensic Engineer position on a team of Forensic Engineers in Chantilly, Va. Become an integral part of a diverse team that leads the market in protecting our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement

    Candidates are expected to bring working knowledge in Computer Forensics in some or all of the subject areas below:

    Understanding and use of computer forensics software (Sleuth Kit, EnCase, FTK, X-Ways Forensic) Understanding and use of Hex editors Understanding of Windows, OS X and Linux operating systems, and their basic functionality/structure Understanding of NTFS, EXT4, HFS, FAT file systems and how they function Understanding and use of Android and iOS-based mobile devices Understanding of Android applications and how they're structured Understanding and use of privacy software (drive wiping, encryption, anti-forensics tools/techniques) Understanding of basic networking Familiarity with network packet captures (Wireshark) Familiarity with encryption concepts and how they're implemented Exposure to identification of malware Exposure to concepts of reverse engineering (debugging, disassembly, assembly language, IDA pro) Exposure to Java source code Familiarity with Python or other scripting language Understanding of dynamic analysis of applications Excellent time management Excellent communication skills Excellent writing skills

    Clearance level: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
