    Job Description

    Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a master's degree in area of specialty, certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, and state authority for advanced practice. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

    It is the intent of the Board of Directors that the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant develop his or her own practice of medicine and also complement the health care services of their physician colleagues in the group.

    We are actively accepting applications for both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

    Education:

    Requires a master's degree in area of specialty, certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, and state authority for advanced practice. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

    Certifications/Licenses:

    Must have current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant or be registered to take the next-offered certification examination. Individuals awaiting the results of the certification exam may be hired, pending successful completion of the exam.

    CPR Certificate required within 90 days of hire.

    Experience:

    Minimum three years of general nursing/clinical experience preferred but not required.
