Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
Supply Chain Subcontracts Manager - M3
The Supply Chain Subcontracts Manager 3 will manage, train, and support subordinates in the following functions:
Developing subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. Preparing bid packages, conducting bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommends subcontractors, write awards, and administer resulting subcontracts. Negotiating and coordinating additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participating with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.
This person will manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy. This will include planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large technical services-type contract.
This person will establish operating procedures that affect organizational unit(s). Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to organizational policies. Establish operating policies and procedures that affect subordinate organizational units.
This manager will develop and administers budgets and standards of performance, influences & impacts strategy through his/her role, accomplishes results through subordinate supervisors, or exempt specialist employees.
Frequent contact with equivalent level managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications will be required. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
o Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering and/or technical discipline or 10 years experience with Supply Chain management in aerospace & defense in either a development or production programs.
o Knowledge of supply chain management techniques, practices or theories gained through wide seasoning and/or special development. Typically a broad functional knowledge.
o Demonstrated success in leading professionals to achieve projects cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
o Demonstrated ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
o Demonstrated success in leading and developing cross functional teams.
o Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors.
o Ability to travel domestically
o U.S citizen and US Government Secret clearance
o 3+ years leading and/or managing teams.
o Demonstrated experience in supply chain management on a major program.
o Demonstrated experience in interfacing with functional teams, customers and major subcontract parts in an IPT structure
o Construction Contractual Management experience
o Firm Fixed Price contracting experience
o Existing US Government Top Secret security clearance
