    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Cost and Schedule Analyst based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

    What You'll get to Do:



    The manufacturing analyst is heavily involved in production, distribution, and interpretation of financial, schedule, and EVMS data. The incumbent monitors, performs analyses, and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. The incumbent supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment by preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analyses. Financial and cost activities are performed in a variety of cross-functional areas including manufacturing, production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process re-engineering.

    The manufacturing analyst ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, and assists in submitting and tracking timely change requests. The incumbent incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract and work package in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

    The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

    This is a dual level req which can be filled at as a Manufacturing Cost and Schedule Analyst or a Principal Manufacturing Cost and Schedule Analyst.

    Qualifications :

    Basic Qualifications:

    Manufacturing Cost and Schedule Analyst
    • 3 years of related work experience with Bachelors; 1 years of related work experience with Masters
    • Must have Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
    • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize as needed to consistently meet deadlines
    • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure, performing review of work product for accuracy and quality in a dynamic environment
    • Excellent communication skills with varied work groups and levels throughout the Manufacturing organization
    • Excellent MS Office Suite experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.); ability to create Pivot Tables, Macros, and other spreadsheet functions as necessary
    • Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills, a team player
    • A background in financial data and manufacturing principles
    • Ability to develop, update, and implement new cost reports and/or models
    Principal Manufacturing Cost and Schedule Analyst
    • 6 years of related work experience with Bachelors; 4 years of related work experience with Masters
    • Must have Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
    • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize as needed to consistently meet deadlines
    • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure, performing review of work product for accuracy and quality in a dynamic environment

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and production database systems
    • Familiarity with heavy manufacturing environment
    • PMP certification
