    What You'll Get to Do:

    CACI's Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking an experienced Technical Writer who will collaborate with a team of talented engineers and project managers to produce technical documentation, as required. As a Technical Writer, you will have proven experience in a technical field, such as computer science or engineering. Your ability to evaluate and analyze complex information is second to none, and you will have a natural desire to help people understand things that are difficult to understand.

    More About the Role:

    Your responsibilities will include the following:
    • Producing a wide range of technical documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
    • Creating documentation utilizing the agency's templates and best practices from draft to final product delivery
    • Translating complex technical and analytical concepts into clear, concise, plain English text, and visual content
    • Producing working and final drafts of each written document for review by team members
    • Performing quality reviews to ensure each document is accurate, consistent with the agency's templates, includes all important concepts, and are written at an appropriate comprehension level for the intended audience
    • Demonstrated experience with writing, editing, proofreading, drafting, and finalizing technical documents for submission to signatories, stakeholders, and customers
    • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
    • Possess a sufficient Information Technology background to read use cases and architecture diagrams, as well as follow a technical conversation
    • Ability to understand technical requirements and engage the expertise of subject matter experts to create required documentation
    • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers to prepare solution documentation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced grammar and editing skills
    • Ability to work independently, as well as with team members
    • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for development and storage of documents
    • Accuracy, attention to detail, consistency, and clarity in conformance with required formats and standards
    • Self-motivator with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction

    Candidate must have one of the following:
    • 12 Years of job-related experience and High School/GED diploma
    • 10 Years of job-related experience and Associates degree
    • 8 Years of job-related experience and Bachelor's degree
    • 6 Years of job-related experience and Master's degree
    • 4 Years of job-related experience and Doctorate
    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
    • Experience with Visio and other graphics tools is a plus
    • Understanding of the Project Management Framework (PMF)
    • Knowledge of the sponsor's organization, mission, and partners
    • Familiarity with Agile methodology
