Energetic, motivated and skilled person needed to join a forward-looking DevOps team to help enhance the environments enabling the development, integration, test and deployment of many of our Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems in Manassas, Virginia.
Hundreds of engineers depend on the performance and reliability of these environments so that Lockheed Martin is able to productively and effectively develop and maintain the systems critical to our customers' mission successes and our national defense.
-Experience in the architecture, development and/or hands-on maintenance of CI/CD pipelines with the ability to optimize these pipelines
-Experience working on teams to create/maintain effective CI/CD pipelines
-Experience configuring, building, installing, and troubleshooting system builds of source software and COTS/FOSS products
-Proficiency with build tools such as Make, Maven and Gradle
-Proficiency in use and maintenance of common DevOps frameworks, tools and repositories such as Jenkins, Git, Gitlab, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Tomcat
-Ability to install and configure tools from scratch
-Ability to author and maintain complex scripts using python, bash and/or other scripting languages
-Experience with the administration of the Linux operating system, considered at least to be a power user (e.g., being well-versed in mounting, partitioning, access permissions, ssh, etc.)
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
These skills are a plus for the successful candidate:
- Experience provisioning a virtual machine
- Understanding of network architecture and protocols
- Familiarity with agile concepts and supporting tools for an agile framework
- Software development experience with C, C++, and/or Java
- Experience automating SCA tools in the development environment (e.g. SonarQube, Coverity, Klocwork)
- Knowledge of cloud architecture
- Hands-on with typical server hardware configuration and maintenance
- Experience in database administration and query languages
