    Job Description

    Performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures by radiographic and fluoroscopic methods in the office following professional technical standards and hospital specific protocols to produce medically useful radiographic images. #Selects and develops images. #Assesses and makes technical corrections for film density, radiologic exposure techniques, patient positioning, and film processing. #Works independently and with other health care providers to perform imaging procedures, and present images and relative patient information to the Radiologist. Performs related clerical duties. #Interacts with patients, ranging in age from neonate to geriatric, and all types of illnesses. # Education # Training: #Successful completion of an AMA-approved two-year course in Radiologic Technology. Must be board certified through ARRT (RT-R). Must possess Maryland Board of Physicians Radiographer license. # BLS required. Work Orientation # Experience: #No prior experience is necessary. #Newly graduated Radiographers may require up to 3 months of job orientation, training, and competency assessments to perform the full range of duties assigned to the Staff Radiologic Technologist. #", "
