    Job Summary

    Responsiblites would include courses in any two or more of the following areas: Hospitality and Tourism Management, Event and Meeting Management, Gaming and Recreation Management, Food and Beverage Management, and Nutrition and Fitness Management. The successful candidate is expected to mentor/advise students organization, pursue and accomplish scholarly research, supervise undergraduate student research or project, participate in school service and other college and university duties. The candidate is also expected to collaborate in program development, promotion, student recruitment, and the coordination of the hospitality and tourism program.

    The School of Hospitality & Tourism Management is a unit of the College of Business. The college is organized into the Department of Managerial Studies, the Department of Quantitative Business Studies, and the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Business programs in the college are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, International (AACSB). The College of Business also houses several centers, including the Center for Business and Economic Development Solutions; Center for Career Management; and Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center (NW-ISBDC and White Lodging Sales Lab).

    • Candidates should possess a doctoral degree (ABD will be considered)
    • Hospitality and Tourism work experience
    • Teaching experience or evidence of potential for teaching excellence
    • Candidate's graduate degrees must be in Hospitality and Tourism or Business
