SCHEDULE: The Medical Assistant will work 24 hours per week, 7pm - 7am, with rotating weekend shifts. Performs Point-of-Care (POC) Testing, splinting, and wound carePerforms accurate and timely electrocardiogramsAssists patients to exam room and documents patient history, medications and vital signsAssists RN with triage processFacilitates flow of patients and maximizes operational efficiencyEquipment, Supplies and Work EnvironmentMaintains clean, stocked exam roomsInventories, orders and restocks suppliesEmergency Department SupportObtains records from medical records or other clinics or hospitalsTransports patients within hospital departmentsAnswers questions and follows through on inquiriesREQUIREMENTS:Active licensure as a CNA, EMS, EMT, or Military Equivalent in the State of Washington AND eligible for licensure as a Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R)6 months of experience in an Emergency Room, or equivalent experienceBLS CertificationDESIRED:1 year of experience in emergency medical services or paramedic services Committed to attracting and retaining a diverse staff, the University of Washington will honor your experiences, perspectives and unique identity.
