    Description of Work

    The Nurse Consultant will collect data and analyze the ability of hospitals, nursing homes, ASCs, dialysis facilities, and physician offices to prevent and manage healthcare-acquired infections and outbreaks of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.

    Education and Experience

    Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of experience in the area of specialization.

    Must have experience as an infection preventionist with an in-depth knowledge of infection prevention standards, guidelines, and regulations. This person must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with front-line personnel, management and healthcare facility leadership. Must also be comfortable developing educational programs and teaching.
