    Position Summary

    The Department of Medicine, The Division of Cardiology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill announces the opening of a fixed term faculty appointment for a Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist who will be based 70% at Nash Hospital in Rocky Mount and 30% at the medical center in Chapel Hill. The successful candidate will have clinical experience in assessment and management of VAD and heart transplant patients. They will also be willing to help build an inpatient heart failure team and see heart failure and general cardiology patients in the outpatient setting. Board certification/eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is required. Position rank is dependent upon applicant qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the full range of advanced therapies for heart failure.

    Qualifications and Experience

    The successful candidate will be ABIM-Board certified or eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and in Cardiovascular Disease.
