Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Displays Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
Engineer to lead the development and integration of a display system for the B-2 Bomber (Defensive Management System) DMS modernization program. Seeking a well rounded Avionics Systems Engineer with both hardware and software experience. Knowledge of PVI factors, distributed processing systems, and Multi-Level Security (MLS) is a plus. Responsible for the overall technical oversight of the DMS Display system development effort and system integration into the B-2 Weapon System. Provide support for the technology development efforts, system operational requirements, vehicle interface definition, and supplier selection. Provide support for system performance trade studies and system effectiveness evaluations; document system requirements and interfaces to demonstrate traceability to platform requirements; perform review and analysis of supplier design data, definition of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration; direct the activities of subordinate engineers to complete project assignments.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with relevant experience from an accredited university
- Minimum 9 years of engineering experience or 7 years with a Master's Degree
- An active in-scope DoD Secret clearance (within the past 5 years)
- Ability to obtain program access
- A Master's Degree in a STEM field.
- SAP/SAR access to program(s)
- 10+ years' experience
- Experience in the integration and test of aviation related Display systems,
- Experience with systems modeling and simulation, and mission effectiveness.
- An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance (within the past 5 years)
