    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Management 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA

    The selected candidate will oversee and manage the supply chain aspects of ongoing programs for the Advanced Programs organization and serve as a liaison between Program Management and Global Supply Chain. The candidate will also review supply chain status of projects and budget, manage supply chain schedules and prepare supply chain status reports, assess supply chain issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The selected candidate will also develop mechanisms for monitoring supply chain progress and for intervention and problem solving with the program team. The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate with technical team and supply chain functions to identify and obtain quotes from suppliers to support the development of cost estimates for proposals.

    Essential Functions:
    • Represents GSC functional homeroom interface with the program
    • Provides accountability for supply chain data and reporting to the program
    • Assists in the identification and documentation of supply chain risks, issues, and opportunities
    • Acting as the primary liaison between Operations and the Program Manager (PM) with regards to assigned project or project area.
    • Working with the PM and other program leads to ensure products can be efficiently manufactured by the manufacturing team, that the production is consistent with processes and procedures, including planning and monitoring assigned projects using standard project monitoring techniques and keeping management updated on issues impacting the manufacturing, quality, cost and schedule performance
    • Maintaining an accurate Integrated Master Schedule(IMS) ensuring alignment with project master schedule
    • Providing roll-up status of activities to the PM and other designated leadership
    • Direct interface with supplier community for supplier management, coordination and management of supplier agreements
    • Resolving scheduling conflicts with PM/EPM and helping determine best way forward when issues or delays cause for re-planning of activities
    • Leading change control for the products to resolve issues/defects in production quickly and effectively including working with Process Team Leaders to resolve out-of-cycle scenarios in a timely manner
    • The PM will support and generate proposal documentation as needed to foster new work
    • Working with the PM to ensure on time delivery of engineering and design information to manufacturing and supplier community to meet production quality, cost and schedule
    • Working with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to ensure technical information is accurate and timely to and from vendors, and expediting material issues and receipts

    Qualifications :

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Project management; Manufacturing Engineering; Global Supply Chain; Masters with 8 years of experience
    • Must have an active DOD secret clearance
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
    • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practice
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities as evidenced by prior experience leading a team or project in a production environment
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with MS Project, MS Visio
      Experience with Risk Management, Red to Green (RTG) plans, and Forecasting EACs, and managing budgets.
    • PMP Certification; Six Sigma Certification
    • Understanding of Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Production and Quality processes
    • Previous experience with SAP, SharePoint, EVMS
    • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity, creativity, and participation of internal and/or external personnel & team
    • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, interpersonal skills and good problem solving mindset
    • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
    • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
    • Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, publications
