    As a Scrum Master in the Space Systems Sector, you will be developing systems for a variety of spacecraft and other technologies yet to come...     The Flight and Test Software group focuses on developing SW to support the command control and mission management of the exquisite RADAR, Electro-Optical, and Infrared payloads developed by our teams, and developing automated test SW to ensure we develop highly performant and reliable payloads to our customers. Our teams work in a mixture of scrum-based, and hybrid waterfall/scrum-based approaches. As a part of the Flight and Test Software group, Scrum Masters will be looked to coach and train SW and non-SW teams and programs in the use of Agile practices to support full program Agile adoption and transformation.

    What You'll Get To Do:

    As a scrum master on a team, you will have the opportunity to lead new teams in their adoption of Agile practices. You will work with the programs to gather requirements and best practices to help establish program level Lean Agile engineering and management principles and processes. Understanding the Northrop Grumman Agile Framework is essential along with the responsibility to help grow and mature this NG branded capability. You and your team will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving standard agile methodologies, policies, and procedures for an Agile lifecycle, from concept/architecture development through product delivery and operations & maintenance.

    Qualifications :

    This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Senior Principal Level:

    Basic Qualifications for a Principal Level :
    • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with MS; 0 years with PhD)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Scrum Master on a Scrum team
    • Certification: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
    • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies successfully in the past as a Scrum Master
    • Previous experience with gathering metrics from Agile tools such as JIRA, CA Rally, CLM, etc
    • Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA, CA Rally, TFS, and/or CLM
    • Experience in decomposing Agile Epics/Features to user stories with clear acceptance criteria
    • Experience working in a SAFe Agile or Agile software development environment
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint
    • Active TS/SCI clearance

    • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience (7 years with MS; 4 years with PhD)
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Scrum Master on a Scrum team
    • Certification: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
    • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies successfully in the past as a Scrum Master
    • Previous experience with gathering metrics from Agile tools such as JIRA, CA Rally, CLM, etc
    • Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA, CA Rally, TFS, and/or CLM
    • Experience in decomposing Agile Epics/Features to user stories with clear acceptance criteria
    • Experience working in a SAFe Agile or Agile software development environment

    Proficiency in some of the below is highly beneficial for this role, and we will teach you what you don't know:
    • Experience with multiple Agile teams in different organizations
    • Experience supporting system development targeted for Space
    • Experience with RADAR or EO/IR systems
    • Experience in supporting in some role on a system definition or software development effort
    • Experience implementing Agile principles and practices within DoD or Federal government environments
    • Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC) Certified

    • This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work.
