The Aerospace Systems team at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as an Associate Material and Process Engineer based out of Clearfield, Utah.What You'll get to Do:
Position designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for composite parts, assemblies, processing, machining and material handling. Designs the sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of parts in a production manufacturing environment. Specifies tools and equipment and other functions to support aerospace manufacturing processes. Provides guidance to design engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Emphasis on metallic machining, to include conversion of 3D models to CNC machine code.
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or related
- Composites hand layup, fiber placement, bonding, cure, assembly, subsystems, metallic hardware assembly and/or machining experience
- Experience supporting an aerospace manufacturing process in a production environment with the necessary materials, tooling, and equipment
- Experience in working with aerospace specifications and drawings
- Preference will be given to individuals already accessed to Special Access Programs
- Experience in the use of NX 10 or higher
- Prior experience with high temperature composite manufacturing processes
