    Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team of business development professionals. The candidate can work in one of the following locations:
    1. Redondo Beach, CA (Preferred location)
    2. Boulder, CO
    3. Colorado Springs, CO
    The Business Development Manager will provide business development expertise, customer interface, and capture leadership for a portfolio focused on processing and exploitation of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) data, development of satellite command and control solutions, and mission enhancement though multi-source data fusion. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, translating NG capabilities and solutions into offerings, and managing a portfolio of captures while seeking to influence customer acquisition strategies. The successful candidate will grow this portfolio and increase NG's value proposition in the domain by building and managing a pipeline of opportunities, managing customer messaging and shaping plans, influencing internal investment decisions, serving as a capture manager and overseeing others performing as capture managers, ensuring readiness for proposals, and supporting proposal development. The position involves significant strategy development and management of a budget to execute strategic plans.

    Ideal candidates for this position will be excellent at written and oral communications, possess a strong ability to establish and develop inter-personal relationships, have a substantial business development background, be strong leaders, and bring some combination of the following: OPIR mission expertise or acquisition; satellite command and control development, operations, and/or acquisition; experience with multi-source data fusion; program management; technology development; capture leadership and proposals; and a history of working closely with MDA or USAF organizations such as SMC, AFSPC / USSF, and AFRL.

    Qualifications :

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 7 years' experience in a combination of business development, program management, and technical leadership
    • 3 years' management experience
    • Strong understanding of the Aerospace Industry and DOD/IC acquisitions
    • Experience with ground system development for space-related applications and/or OPIR mission applications
    • Demonstrated familiarity with USAF or IC satellite customers for acquisition or operations
    • Must have a current and active Secret clearance
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience leading captures of at least $50M
    • Demonstrated technical expertise in development of ground systems for OPIR processing, satellite TT&C, and/or multi-source data fusion
    • Experience working for customer Space and Ground organizations such as MDA, AFRL, SMC, AFSPC, and/or IC
