    CACI is looking for a Chief Engineering Lead (CSE) to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).

    The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. The ideal candidate will have experience and a strong engineering background in Microsoft Exchange Design, Migration and Implementation.


    The CSE will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 10 Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. Additionally, the CSE will be directly responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a Department of Defense Network and will execute the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcomings and to improve system performance and efficiency. The CSE will be responsible for performing and overseeing the management of Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. TheCSE will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 3 support to the customer, their components, and joint task forces to include Tier 3 infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support that builds, configures, and administers several hundred servers in their area of operation. Additionally, the CSE will provide remote support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required.Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments, Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Typically, has hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority or ability to recommend and influence decisions within own area, in accordance with manager review and approval. Manages a team with a focus on policy, implementation of strategic initiatives and execution of day to day deliverables. Establishes or works to achieve, team objectives, operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function or completion of a project.

    Required Skills:

    BA/BS +5 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized
    • A minimum of one the following Microsoft Computing Environment certifications:
    MCSE - Widows Server 2012

    Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure

    MCSE - Private Cloud

    MCSE - Messaging

    VMware Certified Associate (VCA) 5/6
    • End-to-end monitoring of application performance and availability
    • Recommend best-practice solutions for server technologies
    • Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of expertise
    • Act as a resource to team members, participates in team and professional meetings
    • Coaches and provides input as to the needs of Infrastructure staff
    • Provide 3rd line technical support as needed
    • 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering work with demonstrated increased responsibility
    • Professional and responsible system administration of Microsoft Windows servers
    • Experience and a strong engineering background in Microsoft Active Directory Design and Domain Name Services (DNS)
    • Experience with Microsoft Exchange administration
    • Experience with System Center Configuration Manager 2012
    • Experience with VmWare ESXi administration
    • Experience with managing and developing Group Policies
    • Experience with HBSS configuration and troubleshooting
    • Effective communications throughout all levels of operational command
    • Ability to document system process and architecture
    Desired Skills:
    • A minimum of six years of experience managing complex programs in a combatant command
    • A minimum of six years of performance as an IT engineer
    • A minimum of 10 years managing the development and implementation of new technology, to include the design, integration, migration of network infrastructure and services; maintenance and troubleshooting; and recommending enhancements
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience leading teams of network, system, and architecture engineers
    • A minimum of 10 years working with DoD IA policy and guidelines and applying their implications on network architecture design and configuration
    • Possess a TS security clearance with SCI eligible
    • DoD 8570 certification (minimum Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III)
