Description:Working level Systems engineering L-Coded functional management position for the C2 Ground family of programs requiring full spectrum leadership skills. Requires the ability to appropriately balance and prioritize customer requirements with the needs of subordinate engineers. Manages technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Manage technical leadership challenges encountered throughout the systems engineering lifecycle (front end proposal, strategy, rqmts dev, system design, integration, test, deployment). Proven cost, schedule, risk management responsibility for total system. Successful budget development and management with creativity to stretch thin budgets. Day to Day personnel challenges - conflict resolution, performance improvement, reassignment challenge, retention, energizing the team. Works closely with program teams and IPT leaders to ensure equitable sharing of meaningful, interest, and challenging work assignments for the Systems Engineering team members, while also providing stretch assignment opportunities to maximize growth potential. Monitor work progress at various level of oversight consistent with job level. Lead 10-15 direct reports who directly support the Mission & C4ISR Line of Business. Span of leadership encompasses multiple projects, overseeing the implementation of systems engineering solutions across the programs lifecycle.
Regular internal collaboration with Program and Project Managers, Senior Technical Leadership, Program Engineering Program Manager, and Functional Mgmt. Requires Hi-level of Customer Intimacy.
