    Description:Working level Systems engineering L-Coded functional management position for the C2 Ground family of programs requiring full spectrum leadership skills. Requires the ability to appropriately balance and prioritize customer requirements with the needs of subordinate engineers. Manages technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. "Care for People" responsibilities include staff recruiting, re-assignments, performance evaluations, promotions, recognition, career planning, career counseling, training, terminations, and other job actions.

    Manage technical leadership challenges encountered throughout the systems engineering lifecycle (front end proposal, strategy, rqmts dev, system design, integration, test, deployment). Proven cost, schedule, risk management responsibility for total system. Successful budget development and management with creativity to stretch thin budgets. Day to Day personnel challenges - conflict resolution, performance improvement, reassignment challenge, retention, energizing the team. Works closely with program teams and IPT leaders to ensure equitable sharing of meaningful, interest, and challenging work assignments for the Systems Engineering team members, while also providing stretch assignment opportunities to maximize growth potential. Monitor work progress at various level of oversight consistent with job level. Lead 10-15 direct reports who directly support the Mission & C4ISR Line of Business. Span of leadership encompasses multiple projects, overseeing the implementation of systems engineering solutions across the programs lifecycle.

    Regular internal collaboration with Program and Project Managers, Senior Technical Leadership, Program Engineering Program Manager, and Functional Mgmt. Requires Hi-level of Customer Intimacy.

    Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
    Basic Qualifications:
    - Management or Leadership experience
    - Full Sys Engineering Lifecycle experience
    - Team building: ability to create cohesion and synergy among engineers working across program lines.
    - Coach & Teacher skills: Mentor and train engineers to meet the needs of the business and employees.
    - Monitor, assess, and take actions to ensure subordinates achieve success.
    - Demonstrate and reward Full Spectrum principles in the work place.
    - Excellent Communication skills
    - Bachelors degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
    - 9 to 14 years of related professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment

    Top Secret DoD Security Clearance.
