    Job Description

    Description:The THAAD Interceptor Production Operations Staff is responsible to the THAAD Interceptor Production Operations Senior Manager for execution of THAAD Interceptor production operations at LM sites. Responsible for cost, schedule, and quality of THAAD interceptor for Production Operations. Coordinate and/or direct the efforts for all Production Operations functions including Production Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing and Facilities. Coordinate pre-production and production activities across MFC sites. Ensure production manpower and required resources are in place for production contracts. Ensure capital equipment required to execute production is identified, justified, received and brought online to support the contracts. Execute the Production Operations portions of the Program Excellence Plans. Identify new, innovative and affordable processes. Support transition to production and obsolescence redesign activities. Interface and collaborate across functions including Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Engineering and Technology, and Advanced Programs areas when needed. Work with program functions, including Technical Operations, Product Assurance, Sub-Contracts, and Procurement, to ensure program quality, cost and schedule objectives are met. Support the Production Operations PMT process and Lean Initiatives. Meet all internal Financial commitments. This position will report to the THAAD Interceptor Production Operations Senior Manager and will be responsible to coordinate activities in support of Interceptor production. Some travel is required for the position. The selected candidate must demonstrate superior program and project management skills, cross functional team leadership, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Demonstrates Full Spectrum Leadership skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, reports management, metrics tracking and ability to work multiple high-pressure tasks at the same time
    • Knowledge of cost, schedule, quality and safety in a production environment
    • Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
    • Ability to travel domestic and/or international
    • Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance
    Desired Skills:
    • Experience working with military customer
    • Program / project management experience
    • Knowledge of Budgeting, Manpower planning, Production Planning, Tooling, and MRP
    • Knowledge of Make/Buy process
    • Understands LSS, Kaizen, DPU, CA, DFA, DFM
    • Experience in government proposals including generating estimates for labor, travel, tooling, capital planning, etc.
    • Strong background in Production, Industrial Engineering, Plant and Production line layout, shop floor measurements systems, Learning Curve application and pre-determined standard time Systems
    • Knowledge of all functions required to effectively manage a program and secure new business including: Contracts, CDM, Tech Ops, Legal, Business Development, Security, HR, Communications, Prod Ops, Product Assurance, Procurement, Strategic Planning, Finance and Program Management
    • Familiarity and experience with IAMD Family of Programs and associated technologies
    • APECS/MRP/SAP knowledge
    • Understands Customer/Supplier interface, ROMs, PMRs, EVMS
    • Ability to manage direct/capital budgets and various key operational metrics
    • Understands Production Planning, Proposals, BOEs, Estimating, RFPs and contract negotiation
    • Experience with a matrix management organization
    • Facilities and maintenance management knowledge/experience
    • CAM / EVMS experience
    • Experience managing large production program
    • Engineering / Technical or Business related degree
    • Existing business relationships with TPO Personnel
    • Experience leading cross-functional team
    • Talent development and mentoring/teaching/coaching
