    Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an entry level Contracts Negotiator for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support THAAD Program pursuits with contract administration, negotiations, metrics, and future contract planning.
    Duties for this position include:
    • Provides proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration assistance for the programs and special projects as assigned.

    • Evaluates contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.

    • Maintains communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties.

    • Reviews and evaluates customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts;
    evaluates and coordinates proposals; investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.

    • Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.

    • May plan and participate in training of contract practices and negotiations to company personnel.

    • Develops solutions to assigned problems of limited scope.

    • This position will require some travel.
    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Entry level.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Ability to obtain a security clearance

    Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and external customers

    Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

    Ability to learn and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment

    Must have excellent presentation skills, strong analytical abilities, and be a self-start who can work independently with minimal supervision

    The qualified individual must be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen

    Must be able to coordinate Government activities including audits, performance-based payment plans, etc.

    Ability to travel as required for this position
    Desired Skills:
    Prior Contracts experience working with MDA (Missile Defense Agency) or THAAD work experience

    Self-starter with an aptitude for learning

    Comfortable speaking and presenting to a variety of audiences and levels

    Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) experience

    Familiarity with the IWTA system and related policies and procedures
