    Job Description

    Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for the Department Chair of Diagnostic Radiology within the Imaging Institute. The department consists of 131 Physicians and 11 Advanced Practice Providers. Our team covers service at Main Campus as well as rotating to our Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers located throughout Northeast Ohio.

    The Department of Diagnostic Radiology includes the sections of Neuroradiology, Thoracic Imaging, Abdominal Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, MSK/ED Imaging, Pediatric Imaging, Vascular/Interventional Imaging, Breast Imaging, Medical Physicist, Imaging Sciences and the Diagnostic Residency Program. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology with experience leading in a large integrated healthcare organization. Candidates should have excellent clinical, leadership, and administrative skills as well as a high degree of understanding of all aspects of technology relevant to radiology practice including informatics topics and applications of advancing technology. The Chair of Diagnostic Radiology reports directly to the Chair of the Cleveland Clinic Imaging Institute.

    The ideal candidate should be a recognized leader within the field, an outstanding clinician, educator, and scholar, who supports research and education within the subspecialty and who can work collaboratively within an integrated, multi-specialty organization such as the Cleveland Clinic. Strong leadership competencies are key success elements for the role. Working with the Imaging Institute Chair, the Department Chair will have direct responsibility for the clinical, educational, research, and fiscal oversight within the department in order to achieve personal and institutional success.

    A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments is expected at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
