    Office 365 is expanding presence in Sovereign markets. Cyber-sovereignty is an emerging product area that reflects customer, and in particular government, demand for isolated and controlled cloud environments that continue to yield the manageability and feature benefits of the public cloud. The success of Office 365 is dependent on driving this area and seizing the opportunity.

    This Senior Program Manager role will help define, document and drive Office 365 Sovereign and Regulated cloud solutions. The position requires the ability to work independently, develop thought leadership and gain buy-in across stakeholders. A successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment filled with ambiguity and competing demands. The role will contribute to both internal and external initiatives.

    You will gather underlying requirements, formulate objectives, develop specs, and customer facing documents. You will be part of a cross-functional team leveraging Azure and Office to build the next generation cloud, extending investments in the world-wide public cloud. Some amount of travel should be expected in support of direct customer engagement. You should be comfortable representing Microsoft engineering team and direct customer contact. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to contribute to the direction of a significant product area.
    • Formulate objectives and develop specs for sovereign cloud feature areas
    • Drive development of sovereign cloud capabilities
    • Gather and understand underlying requirements from external and internal partners
    • Create customer facing documents
    • Lead and participate in technical workshops with customers
    • Decompose and translate requirements in structured set of actionable activities
    • Identify areas of investment to bring the sovereign cloud solution forward
    • Drive and project manage areas as assigned
    • Formulate objectives and develop specs for sovereign cloud feature areas
    • Drive development of sovereign cloud capabilities
    • Gather and understand underlying requirements from external and internal partners
    • Create customer facing documents
    • Lead and participate in technical workshops with customers
    • Decompose and translate requirements in structured set of actionable activities
    • Identify areas of investment to bring the sovereign cloud solution forward
    • Drive and project manage areas as assigned
    • 5+ years of program management experience
    • Demonstrated capability driving cloud based products or solutions
    • Strong ability to work independently and handle ambiguity
    • Strong ability in written communication, especially for formulating compelling technical documents
    • Ability to provide vision and direction in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and diverse environment
    • Ability to come up to speed and operate on technical and business concepts quickly
    • Outstanding cross-group collaboration skills and proven ability to drive results across multiple organizations
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
    • Ability to effectively drive business & technical conversations with developers, partners, and customers
    • May include some travel to customer sites
    • Travel up to 25%
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Broad understanding of Office 365 and Azure
    • Understanding security concepts relevant to cloud solutions, and related Microsoft products
