    Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) team builds and operates Microsoft datacenters, which in turn power Microsoft's cloud business. We anticipate and provide capacity for continuous scale, enabling ~30% of Microsoft revenue through Commercial Cloud ($38 billion in FY20 Q1). The CO+I Engineering team (CO+IE) delivers services, applications, and automation supporting datacenter planning, construction, and operation. We own a large portfolio of services, including workflows that enable predicable, lowest cost datacenter construction, telemetry systems that drive high availability and optimized energy usage, and task and performance management applications that help our operation run as efficiently as possible. CO+I Engineering is a competitive advantage for Microsoft, and an important pillar in its cloud success.

    The Critical Infrastructure Health (CIH) team in CO+I Engineering focuses on Microsoft datacenters' power and cooling infrastructure. We are building a number of projects using cutting edge technologies to innovate and transform datacenter operation, monitoring and controls. We are looking for a strong, passionate and innovative software engineers with experience with cloud services and big data to join us on the journey of transforming datacenter operations.

    You will be working with a team of world class engineers to build full stack software services. You will have the opportunity to work with data scientists and integrate ML-driven innovations into the systems.     • Deeply understand the domain and the characteristics of telemetry data.
    • Design and build large scale cloud services, working with big data and IoT.
    • Partner with data scientists to integrate ML-driven innovations into DQ improvement.
    • Work collaboratively with partners to drive clarity in scenarios and priorities.
    • Work independently to drive dependency and clear road blockers.
    • Devops activities.
    • 2+ years of industrial experience in shipping products
    • Proven experience in building cloud service
    • Proficient in C# or C/C++ or equivalent
    • Proficient in at least one query language
    • Self-drive individual with passion to deliver high quality product
