To do that we're growing our team to expand our presence on PCs through multiple products and initiatives.

    Our Game Bar experience on Windows 10 is a unique opportunity to reach all types of gamers; it's imperative that we make it the best gaming overlay experience available. Learning about our customers allows us to build new experiences and grow our audience by building what they want. Our goal is show that we can add powerful new features enabling gamers to succeed at any task; without impacting their gaming experience negatively. We've seen huge growth in the last year; a testament to the great work we're doing in this space.

    We also partnering with 3rd party developers to enable their gaming scenarios so that gamers can have all the experiences they need to be at their best. Doing so means that we must be hyper focused on performance, stability and quality. This team is responsible for providing numerous experiences through our gaming SDKs that allow developers to take advantage of our platform. We aim to provide a world class UI platform for our experiences running in 3rd party games.

    As a senior leader you will provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, collaborate with our team and partners, and contribute your ideas and experiences towards the goal of engineering excellent products. Our products are a mix of application and system level software; you will build and maintain features in C++ using both UWP and Win32 API.

    Quality is a top priority for us, this means you will need to provide bullet proof designs and implement with excellent coding techniques. We will test your features with a million devices, you will verify your feature's quality and efficiently resolve issues that we find. You will hold yourself to a high-quality bar and manage your projects through meticulous execution. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and contribute to whatever area needs it; you will contribute to the coding and maintenance of every area of our products.

    As a product innovator you will share ideas with the team, demonstrating your deep insights of the gaming industry and apply your knowledge towards designing and building great products that our customers will love to use and share with their friends. Deep insight into what excites our users and what motivates new customers to use our products is part of the job. You are part of the end-to-end development process. You will help identify MVP, quickly implement features with high quality, flight to a target set of users, collect data from real users, iterate, pivot and repeat - this is the essence of our development culture.

    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • User interface (UI) development experience
    • Design and coding skills in C++, demonstrated through understanding of coding principles and design patterns
    • Enthusiasm for games and enabling other gamers to be their best
    • Demonstrated technical excellence and commitment to quality
    • Strong debugging skills, proven ability to find and fix difficult problems in products you've worked on
    • Flexible, self-motivated, team player
    • Experience with C++/WinRT or C++/CX
    • UI development with XAML
    • Experience with DirectX or OpenGL/Vulkan and/or graphics engine architecture
    • Windows or Xbox application or platform development
    • Experience authoring APIs for games or apps
