    Job Description

    The Azure Developer Experience team is innovating around how developers build applications for the cloud, in the cloud. We are a tight-knit team of customer centric, energetic, data-driven product managers. We continually strive to learn the needs of different developers, build solutions that make sense for our developer customers and Microsoft, and create products that are delightful to use. And we work hand-in-hand with one of the most customer-focused engineering teams in the world.

    We are looking for an experienced product management leader to lead a team that is focused on building services that used by dev teams for cloud-native apps and development in the cloud. Today these services include first party services such as Azure App Configuration, Azure Dev Spaces, and new services for building and testing cloud-native apps. They also include services from established partners in the cloud developer ecosystem. In addition to driving usage and growth of the existing services and partner program, the lead for this team will set the strategy and execution plan for the next set of investments in this area which we believe is critical for Azure's differentiation among developers.

    Examples of activities this team is responsible for include:
    • Growth hacking usage of existing services by improving acquisition and conversion
    • Building new capabilities in existing services for new scenarios
    • Identifying key partnership opportunities and executing on them
    • Managing product positioning, competitive differentiation and pricing
    • Defining new services through customer development focused on developers leveraging the cloud for their apps and dev workflows
    This is a leadership role requiring strong analytical and communication skills, great people management abilities, and the ability to drive strategic results through well-planned execution. The role involves continuous interaction with customers, analysts, and executive leadership. A strong background in managing and directing high-performing teams and driving multiple products that delight customers, will be the keys to success in this exciting opportunity.

    Basic:

    6+ years in a product management role

    2+ years experience working with services for developers

    4+ years managing a product management or engineering team

    Preferred:

    Bachelors' or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline

    Knowledge of the cloud ecosystem for developers

    Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer and partner relationships

    Previous experience working on partner programs

    Demonstrable experience designing and implementing products for development of cloud-native apps

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
