NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Will work within big data infrastructure provisioning in Beaverton, OR. Will manage vendor relationships with key platform vendors, including Databrickes, Okera, AWS, and provide leadership for security and privacy compliance. Will provide technical and operational direction for a platform team, including coordinating automation, system improvements, and new infrastructure feature development. Will provide direction to other engineers working on platform infrastructure. Will direct operational readiness work, including building out monitoring, alerting, and operational support documentation. Will work with and contribute to tools and solutions provided by internal cloud teams and develop solutions for teams working in an analytics infrastructure. Will develop, support and enhance security, privacy and access management solutions. Will provide technical direction to team members on a daily basis. Will provide technical leadership for system operations and automation practices. Will serve as an escalation point for daily operations and support work. Will manage source code repository and coding standards. Will guide development of operational readiness tools and develop advanced dashboards to monitor alerts and system performance. Will serve as the technical interface with other platform and engineering teams. Will work with project managers and team members to break down project requests, infrastructure needs, and operational support work into technical tasks and assignments. Will coordinate technical response teams for major incidents and outages. Will provide level three support (escalations) for platform incidents.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering. Experience: five years of overall progressive experience in software engineering. Skills/Requirements: 5 years of experience: (1) Amazon Web Services; (2) software languages, including Java or Python; (3) source control, including Github; (4) continuous integration and continuous deployment; (5) big data development and operations using the Hadoop ecosystem with Spark or Hive; (6) Unix operating system; and (7) Agile development methodology..
