The Center for Pain management Clerk provides secretarial/clerical support to the center. Primary responsibilities include scheduling of patients and verification of insurance coverage. Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High School Graduate. Medical terminology course preferred.
Office management preferred. Experienced in medical transcription preferred. Experience in commercial/workers' comp. insurance field.
3. Knowledge and Abilities:
a. Type 45 words per minute accurately.
b. Operates typewriter, computer, work processor, copier, FAX and other office machines.
c. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
d. Maintains confidentiality.
4. Registration, Certification or Licensure Requirement:
1. Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
2. Able to push patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers.
